Good morning! I have another Valentine’s Day card for you today. I am continuing to play with the Ink Drops patterned paper from Simon Says Stamp. This card came together very quickly and I am quite pleased with the result! Let me know what you think in the comments below! Let’s make a card!

Recently I reorganized my craft space and I also am using the cataloguing system I have set up to find products I can use. This card used a multitude of products from different sets and different brands. The paper is a newer purchase from Simon Says Stamp and I am in love with it. I wanted to add something to the paper so used the Lawn Fawn Conversation Hearts stencil. It is a two piece stencil and I just used the hearts. The sentiment came from an old Brutus Monroe set called Pleasant Petals and I used my Swiss Dot embossing folder from Gina K and also the large rectangle from Master Layouts 2.
First I cut a top-folding A2 card base. Then I chose the section of patterned paper I wanted to use and cut it with the Master Layout rectangle die. I placed the hearts stencil over the patterned panel and covered with VersaMark ink, covered with WOW clear embossing powder and heat embossed. Next, I cut a black border panel 1/8” larger and glued those together.

Adding the sentiment was probably the hardest part of the card. I trimmed the patterned panel at 1” and then cut off another 1/2”. I centered the patterned pieces on to the card base and secured with temporary tape. Then centered the sentiment and stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturn ink. I added clear embossing powder and heat embossed. I removed the patterned panels added foam tape and added to the card base.
I love the Altenew Brushed Gold metallic card stock so I cut 4 hearts using the heart die from Concord & 9th’s Sweet Summer die set. I added them to the Gina K Design Swiss Dot embossing folder and embossed. I cut 8 more hearts from scraps of black card stock and layered 2 behind each gold heart with liquid glue. This will add a bit of dimension. I spaced these out towards the top of the main panel and adhered with liquid glue.

I added two round Gold Pearls from Kat Scrappiness and the card was finished. I think this card has a bit of a masculine feel to it. What do you think?
