Hello my card making wonders! It is time for another Cupcake Inspirations Challenge. It is a two week challenge and tons of fun! For the next fortnight we have a THEME challenge for you and the theme is HOBBIES! I am sure you are telling yourself, “Kathy is going to make a card because that’s her hobby!” Well, it is indeed my favorite hobby! However, eating cake…oops – I mean BAKING is my second favorite hobby. So today’s card features the beautiful Eat Cake stamps and dies plus the beautiful Floral stencil from The Maker’s Movement.

Remember this is a two week challenge so there is no hurry, but we can’t wait to see your creations!

My daughter needed a birthday card for a friend and loves the colors pink and orange. So I used the Eat Cake stamps and stamped the cake image in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I heat embossed the image with clear powder and then colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out with the coordinating die.

I then stenciled a portion of some white card stock to serve as a background to my cake. I stamped the sentiments (from the same stamp and die set) and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. I cut a slightly larger orange border panel and then glued that to a top-folding A2 card base. A few gems were added and the card is done!
