Hello, my card-making friends and fellow crafters! Did you have a fabulous National Cardmaking Day? Did you get some cards made? Are you ready for another Cupcake Inspiration Challenge? For the next two weeks, it’s a color challenge and the colors are Hot Pink, Black, and White! What a great combination! We would love to see your creations and you can find all the details HERE.

This card is pretty simple but I think it turned out fantastic! I would LOVE to know what you think in the comments below. Let me tell you how I did it.

This card requires white card stock, a piece of patterned paper, an embossing folder, and a few stamps and dies. The patterned paper and a bit of white cardstock are laid out kind of wonky on the card base. I embossed the white card stock with a folder from Spellbinders that I don’t think is still available (I have linked another below that would work beautifully). So I started by embossing the white card stock.

The patterned paper I used is from Kat Scrappiness and is linked below. I glued my patterned paper directly to a top-folding A2 card base and trimmed the edges. Then I added foam tape to the embossed panel, adhered to that, and trimmed off those edges. On to the stamping.

This weekend I participated in Scrapbook & Cards Today, Crop & Create event. It is my all-time favorite cardmaking event and this is the third one I have attended. So I decided to use a few of the stamps I got from the event. These gorgeous little flowers are from Elle’s Studio. The set is called Sincere Sentiments, Best of Friends. The Birthday sentiment is from Elle’s Studio and is called Make A Wish. This was from a previous event but both the stamps and dies are available and linked below. The ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL small sentiment is from a stamp and die bundle from Kat Scrappiness. It has loads of sentiments for any occasion and the bundle includes a die to cut out all of the sentiments at once! (YAY!)

The birthday was stamped in black and then die-cut. I had the small sentiment strip in my stash. The strip says “Enjoy Your Special Day” so I just cut off the word day. The leaves were glued directly to the card stock and the flowers were popped up with foam tape. I added a black enamel dot from Kat Scrappiness. The small, strip sentiment was glued to the birthday. Then I die-cut a few more birthdays from scrap white card stock and glued them together for a bit of dimension. The sentiment was added to the card with liquid glue.

I can’t wait to see your Hot pink, Black and White creations. Please make sure you upload them to the website. Again, all details can be found HERE. As always, thank you for stopping by my blog.
