Good morning! Do you love Valentine’s Day and all of the hype that goes along with it? Being married for 37 years we celebrate it every day. However, I was blessed to be have Kristina Werner create a card for me on her YouTube channel and it was all centered around Galentine’s Day! I think Galentine’s Day is BRILLIANT! I love that I can celebrate my girlfriends. So of course I had to have the You’re My Gal stamp and dies that Kristina featured in her video. I also recently got a stencil set from Papertrey Ink and the two combined perfectly! I am in AZ and my BFFWWW (best friend in the whole wide world) is in MN. We talk frequently but text often. This stamp set had great sentiments and a mobile phone-PERFECT. So here is the card I created for her. Keep reading for details!

This card is a top-folding A2 card. I cut, scored and folded an A2 card base. Using an older SIZZIX 3D embossing folder I embossed the front of the base.
Next, with a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, 110lb and stencil it with the Papertrey Ink’s Happy Hearts stencil set. I used Distress Oxides, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick and a dome foam applicator. Once the panel was dry I sprayed some ImagineCrafts Gold Shimmer spray and then splattered with gold watercolor paint and then added a few dots of gold gel pen. I think this adds some depth to the card.
Next, I used the Master Layout 2 Dies from Gina K Designs to cut the stenciled card panel with the stitched rectangle. I cut the black with the larger rectangle.
On to the stamping…

I stamped all of the images with Versa Fine Clair Nocturn ink. I allowed them to dry, die-cut them and then covered them with VersaMark embossing ink and heat embossed. I added the VersaMark ink and repeated the process for a real shine. I die-cut a few white scraps from the Hey Girl die and the phone die and layered the pieces with liquid glue.
The phone is glued directly to the stenciled panel. I popped up the sentiment with a thinner foam tape. The stenciled panel is glued to the black panel. I added foam tape to the whole thing and added to the base.
A few gold pearls from Kat Scrappiness to the button on the phone and a couple on the stenciled panel. I also added some clay hearts to the phone message. I tend to send a lot of heart texts to my BFFWWW!
That’s it the card is done….now I have to get it in the mail. She will probably see this post before she gets the card! I want to thank Kristina Werner for inspiring me to take part in Galentine’s Day! I hope you enjoy this card and encourage you to check out these products.
