I can’t believe I have had my little Tim Holtz/Ranger Alcohol Ink Kit for over a year now and hadn’t opened it. Perhaps it was a fear of ruining a piece of paper? How silly! Or was it a fear that my creation wouldn’t be good enough? So while watching a Tim Holtz live demo today I decided to do as he says, “You do you!” His advice is to just PLAY. Boy oh boy did I have fun playing. I decided to use my first creation for a Valentine and I love it. I think my hubby will too!

I’m not going into details into how to do the alcohol ink panel as it is best to watch Tim’s videos or Tiffany Solorio or any of the many creators out there.
After allowing the panel to dry I splattered a bit more gold paint on it as you can’t have enough bling! I then cut the panel down with the large rectangle from the Gina K Designs Master Layout 2.
I then cut out a heart using the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Heart dies. I cut one heart from Memory Box Glitter Card Stock and 3 hearts from Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock. These were glued together. The heart was then adhered to the alcohol ink panel with Gina K Connect glue.
For the sentiment I used the Tim Holtz Label Stickers. The part of the sentiment over the heart was glued down. The part that was over the inked panel was adhered with foam tape. Foam tape was added to the entire panel and attached to an A2 top folding card base.
The last thing was to add some more bling and Gold Pearls from Kat Scrappiness they were just right.

This won’t be the last of alcohol Inks for me. I loved the process and will probably binge watch videos this weekend!
I know you have something in your stash you haven’t used in a while or perhaps never used. My advice-PLAY with it. If it doesn’t work out, it’s only paper. If it does you could end up with a card you love! I would love to see your creations!
As always, thanks for stopping by. I would love it if you could subscribe to my blog and follow me on Instagram @expressivepaper. Have a fabulous weekend!
