LDRS Creative NEW RELEASE February 2024

Good morning it’s release day for LDRS Creative and boy do I have a lot to share with you. This release is filled with stamps, stencils, dies, and press plates. All products can be found HERE.

For the first card I am using the following new products:

The first card is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 top folding card.

Cut a piece of card stock to 4 1/4 x 11 then score in the middle and fold in half.

Cut a piece of gold card stock to 3.75“ x 5“.

Cut a piece of white card stock to 3 5/8“ x 4 7/8”

Now let’s work on the sentiment.

We will start by using the new die set, Simply Words. This is a set of eight word dies that coordinate with the Simply Sentiments stamp set. When you combine the dies with the stamps set, your possibilities are endless.

Start off by cutting the word. Happy from gold card stock. I chose to cut three additional pieces from white card stock and glue them all together.

For the small sentiment, I stamped it in VersaMark Inc. sprinkled with gold, embossing powder and heat set. I used a small die to cut it out, but you could use your trimmer.

Now let’s play with the new, Arches Spotlight stencils. the new arches spotlight stencil are easy to use and come in five different size arches. These stencils are easy to use for focal points or to create a background. Today we will be creating the background

For this card, I used the smallest stencil and ink blended it using the following LDRS inks:

  • Tangerine Dream.
  • Lala Lavender
  • Marina Blue
  • Pink Tutu

When ink blending these colors, I used a very light hand. Once all of the arches were ink-blended I placed the stencil over the top and using a gold gel pen I traced each arch.

I got out my splatter box and using gold watercolor I splattered the entire panel, it’s just a matter of assembling the card.

The ink-blended panel was glued to the gold card stock using liquid glue. The word happy was adhered to with liquid glue. The small sentiment was popped up using a thinner foam tape. This was then adhered to the card base with the same thin foam tape.

That’s it, the card is done. Now on the second card.

For the second card, we are going to pull out our foiling machine. To create this card, you will need a hot foiling system, such as the Spellbinder Glimmer. Please make sure that you are following the instructions that come with your foiling machine.

The products used for this card are:

Following your foiling machines, instructions foil, the Tulips Die onto a piece of smooth white card stock. Don’t throw away that negative foil. This is the piece we are using today. Sathe original foiled panel for another card.

Place the negative foil onto another piece of smooth, white card. Using a solid foil plate, foil with the negative. Save this panel to create another card later. Here is a picture of the negative foil incorporated into today”s card.

Here is the original foiled image. I will save this for another day. I just wanted to show you how important it is to use ALL of that foil!

Now back to our card.

Place the Floating Squares die over the foiled panel and die cut.

Using a black piece of card stock, and cut using the Floating Squares Die l, cut this element. Cut another from a piece of white card stock.

Adhere the black, square outline to a piece of white card stock cut to 3.75“ x 3.75“. Inlay the white pieces into the black outline with liquid glue. Glue the foiled, tulip panel in the center with liquid glue.

For the sentiment I used the Simply Words die set. I cut the word love from black card stock. I stamped “sending you lots of” “in Raven black ink on a strip of white card stock.

I used the A2 Triple Stitched Quilted cover plate to partially die cut an inch and a half of the bottom of the card. I adhered the sentiments with liquid glue.

I encourage you to check out the new release from LDRS Creative. You will love the variety of the new products and get the feeling that spring is in the air!
