Good morning! Have you seen the new release from LDRS Creative? I have been sharing several cards using the fabulous new Gingerbread Card Kit. This kit is fantastic. The kit includes 15 A2 cards and envelopes and a TON of ephemera. The number of ephemera in this kit will help you complete all your holiday cards. These kits are not only adorable but super easy to create with. Today I am showing you ANOTHER card using pieces from this kit with other LDRS Creative supplies you may have in your stash.
- Gingerbread Card Kit
- Trellis Slimline Cover Plate
- Special Occasions Stamp Set
- Special Occasions Coordinating Dies
- Offset Slimline Stack-ables
- Kiss Me Red Hybrid Ink
- Christmas Funfetti by Kat Scrappiness
- Liquid Glue
- Foam Tape
- Die-cutting machine
- Teflon Bone Folder
- Glossy Accents
- Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb card stock
- Paper Trimmer
Cut, score, and fold a standard slimline card base. Then I cut the background using the Trellis Cover Plater and adhered to the card base with foam tape.
Select your ephemera pieces. I thought it would be fun to have the gingerbread men topping the tree with their candy cane, so I needed a taller tree. So, what I did was layer up the trees from the kit. I figured out how tall I wanted it and then adhered them with some liquid glue.
I cut another piece of white card stock about 3″ high and slightly less wide as the trellis background. I cut the top of this piece with the Offset Slimline Stack-ables so it looked like a little hill. I then covered it with watermark ink and some sparkly embossing powder to resemble snow.
Stamp your sentiment with Kiss Me Red ink, cover with watermark ink, and clear embossing powder. Then heat this. Die-cut the shadow from the white card and heat emboss like you did the hill. Adhere the sentiment to the shadow with liquid glue. Add foam tape to the back. Adhere towards the top of your card.
Now lay out your little men, the tree, and your sparkly, snow hill. Adhere the pieces where they touch. Then add foam tape to the back and add to your card. I found some fabulous Christmas Funfetti that has little candy canes in the mix. I thought this would be the perfect touch to the tree!
I will feature a few more of these cards over the next few days, so stay tuned….
