Quick Graduation Cards

Do you have any graduations this year that you need a quick card for? Do you have beautiful card panels laying around that you haven’t used? Well this is the card for you!

I was using some Lindy’s Magicals to paint some stamped images with the other day and had quite a bit left over on my glass board So I decided to spritz them with some water and pick them up with a panel of Neenah Classic White 110lb card stock. The result was fabulous and I knew I had to use it immediately.

I recently purchased the Condensed Lower Case alphabet dies from Kat Scrappiness and decided to use them for this card.

After creating my panel with the pigment powders I cut the word congrats from it.

Next I used the inner rectangle die from the Picket Fence Slimline Die-Cutting System.

This die set cuts a very thin frame for the front panel I covered this with Simon Hurley Lunar Paste in the Sike color. Allow this to dry.

Now, line up your dies across the panel and tape down with a low tack tape. Use a T-square to make sure they are aligned. Take your time with this step. Run this through your die-cutting machine. Now, cut another panel slightly smaller and glue it behind the die-cut panel. Then cut a card base 1/2” larger on the top and bottom. Score and fold your base. Glue the die-cut panel on top. Now it’s time to inlay your colorful letter pieces.

Finally, put a thin line of glue all around the inner panel and glue your thin gold frame down.

That’s it the card is done! I hope you enjoyed this project and will grab one your handmade backgrounds and use it!

As always, thanks for stopping by. I would appreciate it if you would subscribe to my blog and follow me on social media. You can find those links at the top of this post.
