Spellbinder’s New Release Four Petal Collection

Good morning! It’s time for a new release from Spellbinders and as always it’s a beautiful one. For today’s card I am using the Scrolled Punch & Pierce Plate and the Bloom Reflection Etched Dies. For the second card I am combining the new release with the January Small Die of the Month.

The Small Die of the month is a subscription and I have provided a link below to the current kit. While January‘s Small Die of the Month is no longer available I hope this shows you how versatile Spellbinder’s products are. So let’s make a couple cards!

Here is what I love about the Scrolled Punch and Pierce Plate….It cuts THREE pieces. Use them all or just use one. Also, it is BEAUTIFUL to just dry emboss. For this card I cut it once from a peach card stock and SLIGHTLY trimmed the stitched edges. I then dry embossed a 4.25” x 5.5” panel from white Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb card stock.

For this card I cut LOADS of flower bits and pieces using the Four Petal Bloom Reflection Etched Dies. I cut them in white and colored the itty bitty pieces as I had a “vision” and of course didn’t have all of the colored card stock I desired. You can use colored card stock to make your life easier. We all have HEAPS of colored scraps so why not use them. I glued the pieces together, the instructions on the packaging are very good.

I removed the two center pieces of the peach die-cut and then glued the piece to the dry embossed, white panel. The floral element is very easy to arrange. The greenery is basically a background piece showing you where to glue all of the flowers. SO EASY!

I centered a foiled sentiment from the More Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil plate. I popped the sentiment up on some foam tape. Then I added the floral elements above and below with a strong liquid glue. I also added some Spectrum AB Gems to the flower centers. The panel was glued to the dry embossed, white panel and attached to an A2 top-folding card base.

Now on to card number two!

The second card shows the versatility of the Spellbinder’s products. I have combined the Scrolled Punch and Pierce Plate with the January Small Die of the Month Club Kit. Just to add a bit of fun I have turned it into a shaker card! I dry embossed the Scrolled Punch & Pierce plate and then using my Exacto knife I carefully cut out the center. It was easy.

Next place the center back into the dry embossed panel, add glue to the back of the CENTER piece and place on top of a 4.25” x 5.5” white card stock. This allows you to get perfect placement. Now glue a piece of acetate to the back of your dry embossed, front panel. Allow the glue to dry and then add foam tape all around the center opening and back panel.

Place some Aura Opalescent Color Essentials Sequins on top of the center piece of the other panel. Make sure the sequins lay flat. Remove the tape from the foam of your front panel and add some glue on top of the foam. Why, you ask? The glue gives you a little wiggle room.

Now carefully place the top panel on. Put something heavy on top and allow to dry. Now on to the January Small Die of the month.

I cut the the flowers out of scrap card stock in blues, pinks and greens. I glued the floral elements together per the package instructions.

The ampersand was cut from white card stock twice and glued together. I cut the etched arm of the ampersand from a rose gold metallic card stock. The sentiment die was centered into the strip die and cut together from white card stock. I then used the strip die and cut a piece of solid pink. I glued the sentiment on top of the strip with liquid glue. There are multiple sentiments in this kit and I chose two. I repeated this process for both pieces.

Now arrange your floral elements to your liking and use a strong liquid glue to adhere. I then adhered the complete ampersand in the center of the shaker window. I used liquid glue only where the ampersand touched the background and NOT on the acetate.

I added some pearls and the sentiments with glue and the card is finished!

I am in love with both cards but would love YOUR feedback! Please leave me a comment below. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. I truly appreciate EVERY one of you.
