What a fantastic day it is my crafty friends! Just wait until you see all of the new products from the Showered With Love release from Spellbinders. This release was designed by Vicki Papanniou and it is so full of springtime goodness! Today I have an adorable card for you featuring the Duck With Umbrella dies and the new Spellbinders 3D embossing folder called Raindrops. As mentioned all products will be listed below for purchase! I would be incredibly great full if you use my links. It helps me to continue to provide inspiration to you! So, let’s make a fun little shaker card!

When I get new dies like this I love to cut bunches. I used scraps of colored card stock but you could also cut everything from white card stock and color with your choice of medium. The Spellbinders dies are easy to assemble as the base die is etched to show you where the top pieces go.

This card base is an A2 top-folding card base in an ecru color. I am not sure where it is from but any pale yellow would do. Then I cut a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White to 5” x 3.75”. Cut another panel slightly smaller.

I cut an oval from the upper portion of the card base. I took the same oval and the scalloped die and taped together to create a frame. This is an older nested, scalloped oval which I cut from yellow scraps a few times and glued them together. I then embossed the panel with the Raindrops 3D embossing folder.

Flip the panel over and attach some acetate to the back I use double sided adhesive but liquid glue works just as well. Next you will add foam tape all over the back and around the opening. Remove the tape backing. Carefully add some sequins to the opening and place the smaller white panel on top. Add your yellow, scalloped oval to the front with strong adhesive glue. Allow to dry and then, using a strong liquid glue or double-sided adhesive adhere the shaker panel to the card base.

Now it’s time to add your ducky! I added foam tape behind the portion that is on the acetate and dots of liquid glue where his body touches the scalloped frame.

The sentiment is from the More Sentiments Glimmer set from Spellbinders. I used the Matte Silver foil and the strip die that came with the set. I trimmed it down to fit my card and adhered with foam tape.
