Yellow and grey are two colors that I have to admit I don’t use frequently. So with a challenge from Gina K Design’s Facebook Page I decided to use try them. It is interesting that these two colors are the Pantone Colors of 2021. Who knew?
The background was made after watching a video from Jennifer McGuire about embossing folders. I inked the flat side of the folder with Versamark ink. Then I ran grey card stock through my die cutting machine. I used clear embossing powder. The results were awesome. The lotus is from Gina K’s Lovely Lotus stamp/die set. I embossed it with gold powder and used a yellow Nuvo watercolor pen.
The sentiment was stamped with black Versafine ink and embossed with clear powder on vellum. It was mounted on black and then white cardstock and a few Nuvo drops were added.
