Good morning your crafty card makers! Welcome back for more of the Painter’s Garden release from Spellbinders. Today’s card features the Carolina Allspice floral dies and a cute little bird from the Advent Calendar that was released for this past Christmas. The Painter’s Garden release from Spellbinders is designed by Susan Tierney-Cockburn and she is a phenomenon with flowers. If you want assembly tips or coloring tips for the floral set I have linked her video at the bottom of this post. I have also linked all of the products at the bottom.

To create this card I started with a 4.25” x 5.5” A2 top folding Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb card base.
I cut another panel of the card stock to 5.25” x 4” from black card stock. Using the Layered Geometric Optical Stencils and a piece of white card stock 5 x 3.75” I stenciled two of the layers using Distress Oxide Pumice Stone ink. These two panels were glued together with Bearly Arts Precision Glue.
I die-cut the bird from two shades of red card stock. The beak, legs and eyes were cut from a piece of black card scrap. I glued all of these pieces together and added a dot of white gel pen to the eye. While this bird is no longer available the Little Chickadee is and is available HERE. I also cut a 2” circle from white card stock. I had these Carolina Allspice pieces left over from yesterdays creation. So I used just one flower and the branch.
The sentiment die is from the new Raining Hearts Etched die set designed by Vicki Papaioannou for Spellbinders. I will use this set later in the week. I cut the word from black card and the shadow from white and glued them together. I glued the branch down to the circle and a few of the leaves. The flower was glued to the branch. I popped the sentiment and bird up with foam tape and added a few black enamel dots from Kat Scrappiness.

I like to cut out multiple pieces when I get new dies. This way I will have them ready for many cards.
