I am loving the idea of Galentine’s Day and celebrating girlfriends! So I had to use the new You’re My Girl stamp and die set again. But honestly the star of this show is the BEAUTIFUL card stock from Craft Consortium. The Ink Drop collection in Rose makes me feel like I am using an alcohol ink creation from Tiffany Solorio! This card features a floating heart on an embossed background and was easy to create.

I started out by using Gina K Design’s Master Layout 4 solid heart die and cut a heart from the Craft Consortium card stock. I also cut one from a piece of acetate and white scrap card stock. I took the colored heart and cut it diagonally into 11 pieces. Every other piece was a thin one. I then started at the bottom and glued the first piece to the acetate. I glued every other piece to the acetate using the thin pieces to space the pieces. I then added foam tape to the back of the heart, behind the patterned paper. This was then adhered to the white card stock.
I then used Master Layout 2 solid rectangle and cut a panel of white card stock. I embossed this with the Gina K Design Gingham embossing folder. I added VersaMark Ink to the edges and some Lawn Fawn Gold powder and heat embossed. I added this to a piece of the Ink Drop card stock cut 1/8” larger then the embossed panel. I glued the embossed panel directly to the patterned paper panel.

Next I stamped and die-cut the Happy Galentine’s Day sentiment on white card stock and heat embossed with the same Lawn Fawn powder. I die-cut the sentiment with the coordinating die. I cut three more from white card scraps and glued them together. I cut a fourth piece from the Ink Drop Paper, offset it and glued to the white piece. It just adds a bit of dimension. This was glued directly to the embossed panel.
I removed the backing from the foam on the heart, added a bit of liquid glue (for a little wiggle room) and added the heart to the embossed panel.I popped on a few Frosted Grape Pearls from Kat Scrappiness and my card is finished.
