If you want to join in a fun LIVE challenge then I would encourage you to join in the Craft Roulette Live Challenge on Friday evenings at 5:30pm MST! Mary Gunn and her guest creators always put on a good show and make adorable cards. The Craft Roulette Wheel chooses 4 parameters, you create a card and link your card to the challenge site by Sunday. This week’s parameters were the following:

  • Project-Bookmark
  • Element-Bunny
  • Colors-Gray background + 3 colors
  • Random-Swag

These parameters are left open to interpretation. If you can explain it, you can use it!

Today I have a cute bunny card for you. The stamp set is from Mama Elephant and was part of a SCT Crop & Create Cardmaking event. I don’t believe it is available on their site. However, they have many cute little bunny and animal stamp sets available. The background stencil is a recent purchase from Papertrey Ink.

This images on this card were stamped and then masked. I stamped the bunny (masking the lower portion of his body. Then masked him, stamped the bed and night stand, masked those, stamped the pill bottle, masked it and stamped the lamp. Then masked them all and aLao masked off about 1.5” of the bottom and stenciled the background in grey to satisfy that parameter. Then I moved the bottom mask to the stenciled area and added a wood grading background stamp for the floor. I stamped the crutch separately and die-cut it.

I then colored all of the images with alcohol markers. this panel was trimmed down to 3.75” x 4.5” and I rounded the corners. I trimmed off the top right corner. I added a light blue background that was slightly larger…not gonna lie I eyeballed it. I folded down the top right corner-this is how I mark my book pages I turn the corner down. I stamped the sentiment on this flap. So this takes care of the book mark parameter. If you look closely, I have a second bookmark-leave a note in the comments if you find it! Here is a closer look.

My card base is a top-folding A2 base from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. I didn’t think one bunny was enough so I positioned the other bunny to peek from behind the flap. I stamped and then colored this image with alcohol markers. I also added some hand cut fishtail flags on a string for my “swag” parameter. My color parameters are met as I have more than 3 additional colors.

I added some Glossy Accents to the bed heart and the bunny noses. I also added some shimmer pen to the background hearts. It really adds a lot of sparkle, the picture doesn’t pick it up! I popped the crutch up with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this card. I sure had fun making it! Did you find the second book mark? Let me know in the comments!
