Good morning! It’s time for a new release from LDRS Creative. I LOVE the LDRS Creative products as it is so easy to combine the new releases with the old. The new dies featured in the Spring Collection are timeless and will be a great addition to your craft stash. Today’s card features the On This Special Day stamp set. It is the perfect stamp set for a multitude of occasions. Baby, cards, anniversaries, graduation, wedding-they are all covered in this new set! And the Delicate Stitched Scalloped Rectangles and Circles are the perfect frame for any focal point. They also have a new paper pad and new strip dies in this collection! So-let’s make a card.

There is minimal coloring and the card comes together quickly. First cut, score and fold an A2 top-folding card base. I use Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110lb card stock. Next, select a piece of the fabulous Favorite Things patterned paper. I chose the wave pattern as I wanted to include the little duck form the On This Special Day stamp set. I cut this with the Delicate Stitches Scalopped Rectangle toppers. I used the new Delicate Stitches Scalloped Rectangle dies to cut a white frame.

Then I cut a piece of white card stock to the same size as the frame. I decided where I wanted my sentiment and stamped in LDRS Creative Dark Wash Jeans Hybrid Ink. I added clear embossing powder and heat embossed. I did the stamping and embossing twice using a stamping platform. I then stamped the Hello Little One sentiment above Congrats in Raven Hybrid Ink. This stamp set has a stamp and sentiment for almost any occasion. It is a great set for a new card maker.

Find the cloud paper from the Favorite Things paper pack. I trimmed it to the size of the sentiment panel and glued it down. Don’t worry if it is too straight. I cut a scalloped strip using the new Scalloped Slimline Background Strips. I used a dark navy card stock but if you don’t have it just use the Dark Wash Jeans ink pad and swipe the strips with ink. Trim the strips to the width of the frame and glue one above the sentiment and one below.

Next I stamped and colored the little duck. I fussy cut the duck and then added two coats of clear embossing powder, heating between each layer. I added the little duck with a thicker piece of foam tape. I also added some clear enamel dots to the panel. The framed panel was added to the scalloped wave paper with foam tape.

What do you think? I think you will love the new collection. Stop over to the LDRS Creative Shop to see the new collection!
