card details
Cut, score, and fold a standard slimline card base. Then I cut the background using the Trellis Cover Plater and adhered to the card base with foam tape.
Select your ephemera pieces. I thought it would be fun to have the gingerbread men topping the tree with their candy cane, so I needed a taller tree. So, what I did was layer up the trees from the kit. I figured out how tall I wanted it and then adhered them with some liquid glue.
I cut another piece of white card stock about 3″ high and slightly less wide as the trellis background. I cut the top of this piece with the Offset Slimline Stack-ables so it looked like a little hill. I then covered it with watermark ink and some sparkly embossing powder to resemble snow.
Stamp your sentiment with Kiss Me Red ink, cover with watermark ink, and clear embossing powder. Then heat this. Die-cut the shadow from the white card and heat emboss like you did the hill. Adhere the sentiment to the shadow with liquid glue. Add foam tape to the back. Adhere towards the top of your card.
Now lay out your little men, the tree, and your sparkly, snow hill. Adhere the pieces where they touch. Then add foam tape to the back and add to your card. I found some fabulous Christmas Funfetti that has little candy canes in the mix. I thought this would be the perfect touch to the tree!
I will feature a few more of these cards over the next few days, so stay tuned….
