Rediscover Your Supplies

Good morning, today I am participating in the “Rediscover Your Supplies” Instagram Hop. The hop is hosted once a month. The purpose of this hop is to use supplies you already have in your stash.  The parameters for this month were to use the theme EASTER and/or vellum. I did both.

I rarely use vellum and I very rarely use my watercolors. But thanks to Angie, the owner of LDRS Creative. I have been trying to use watercolors a bit more. Most Thursdays Angie has a live class on the LDRS Creative YouTube channel and they are always amazing. Here is a link to her next class:

For today’s card. I used the Kind Regards stamp set. This stamp has been sitting in my stash for a while. I got it as a freebie I received with a order quite a few months back.

I stamped the image twice on an LDRS Cotton card panel.   I used LDRS Creative Raven hybrid ink. It works great with watercolor and on Letterpress Press plates.

Then I used my Distress Oxide Watercolor pencils to color the image. Once the image was dry, I cut the card panel with the Delicate Stitches Rectangle Dies. I used the largest rectangle.

Next, I adhered the panel to a piece of light pink card measuring 4 1/4” x 5 1/2“.

I adhered a scrap piece of vellum to the double-sided adhesive and cut a smaller scallop rectangle. I removed the back of the double-sided adhesive and adhered the small rectangle on top of my water-colored panel. I placed it in the lower right of the watercolored panel.

For the main happy sentiment, I used the Simply Words die set from LDRS Creative. I cut the word happy three times from white card stock and once from gold.  I adhered the layers with liquid glue.

Next, I placed the panel into my Misti, decided where I wanted the word happy and then using the Easter Word stamp from Hope & Waddles I placed ”Easter” where I wanted it to appear on my card.

I prepped the panel with anti-static powder and stamped it a few times using Gina K Designs, Bubblegum Pinkusing Gina design’s Bubble Gum Pink ink. I covered the word with clear embossing powder and heat set the word.

I glued the happy die cut onto the panel and then adhered the entire panel to a top folding A2 card base.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. If this project inspired you to purchase any of these products, I would appreciate it if you use the links I have listed above. There is no cost to you and I am provided with a small commission to keep my blog running.

I hope you have an amazing Easter and keep on crafting.
