What a fantastic day it is my crafty friends! Just wait until you see all of the new products from the Showered With Love release from Spellbinders. This release was designed by Vicki Papanniou and it is so full of springtime goodness! Today I have an adorable card for you featuring the Duck With Umbrella dies. Well, this duck forgot his umbrella at home. This little duck reminds me so much of the little rubber ducky’s my kids used to play with in the bath tub! It lends itself towards a perfect Baby Card! So let’s make one.

When I get new dies like this I love to cut bunches. I used scraps of colored card stock but you could also cut everything from white card stock and color with your choice of medium. The Spellbinders dies are easy to assemble as the base die is etched to show you where the top pieces go.
This card base is an A2 top-folding card base in Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb card stock. Cut a front panel from the same to 4.25” x 5.5”. Then I cut a piece of pale blue card stock to 3.75” x 5” and a smaller white panel measuring 3.5” x 4.75”. Using the Head in the Clouds Spellbinder’s embossing folder, emboss the card front, white panel and the small white panel.
Glue the blue panel to card front and card front to card base. I use Bearly Arts Precision glue.
Now for the waves! Using white card stock and any wavy die, cut 4 pieces. The width should be 3.5”. The same as the small white panel. Don’t worry about the length yet. Ink blend from the top to the bottom of each panel. The inks I used were Distress Oxides in the following colors: Unchartered Marina, Faded Jeans and Speckled Egg. Arrange your waves. We will tuck the duck in between the waves, Trim off any wave excess. The two back panels are adhered with Bearly Arts Precision Glue except for the top. Hold on to those additional two waves!
The sentiment I chose is Welcome Little One. It is from LDRS Creative’s Special Occasion Stamp Set. There is also a coordinating set of dies. I used my Misti, lined up my stamp and stamped twice in Versamark ink. I added a gold embossing powder from Brutus Monroe and heat embossed.
Now add foam tape to the back of the duck’s head. Glue the duck body down. Now glue the 3rd wave on top of the duck and other wave pieces. Add foam tape to the front panel and and adhere. Use double sided adhesive or liquid glue and adhere the entire panel to the blue panel.
Add a few Ice Ice Baby Enamel Dots from Kat Scrappiness and the card is done.

What do you think of the Rubber Duck? I think it’s adorable, now I have to find someone that is expecting!
